Lifeguard History Program

The Hermosa Beach Museum and representatives from the LACoFD Lifeguard Division welcome young visitors to learn more about South Bay Lifeguards at the museum from 10:00-11:30am on Saturday, July 13!

Whether they are Junior Lifeguards, interested in the program, or looking to make friends, participants between 9 and 13 years old will have fun learning about lifeguards at Hermosa Beach Museum’s History of Lifeguarding program. Participants will produce scale drawings of lifeguard towers, explore museum exhibits including a full-size lifeguard tower, discuss developments in lifeguarding over the course of the twentieth century, and take part in a presentation by representatives from the LACoFD Lifeguard Division! This free program will take place at the Hermosa Beach Museum (710 Pier Avenue) between 10:00am and 11:30am on Saturday, July 13.
