The 7-story building best known as the Biltmore Hotel of Hermosa changed hands many times over its 45-year history from 1924 to 1969, but its music halls remained in near constant use. In their time, the ballrooms of the Biltmore heard musicians ranging from brass orchestras to the Beach Boys and from folk trios to Merseybeat pop artists. Join us at the Hermosa Beach Museum at 6pm on Thursday, September 18, for a presentation on the musical history of the Biltmore from Mark Shoemaker along with a performance by the El Segundo Brass Ensemble!
