The goal of this beginners worksop is to demonstrate how to build out your family tree within the Ancestry.com platform. You will learn how to incorporate data from associated historical resources to help create a story about your family history. Optimally, attendees will bring a laptop/tablet with them to work live on your family tree with the online tools presented. Emphasis will be on efficiently acquiring records that will validate and expand your family history, while minimizing the effort to input data into your family tree. Please bring information you have in regards to your direct ascendants (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc.,), as well as the location and dates of birth/death. To get the most out of this workshop, we also recommend that you bring with you a laptop (wifi will be provided) so that you can actively work on your tree in the workshop.
